GP Lausitzring will have stadium atmosphere

Motocross Track Lausitzring 2013 World Championship

The German round of the 2013 FIM Motocross World Championship will be held at the Lausitzring (Eurospeedway). Even though a permanent motocross track was opened at the venue in 2011, the event organizers will build a new track only for the Championship Round. Thanks to the grandstands a stadium atmosphere will be created.

Youthstream has always wanted to get the Grand Prixs closer to the fans and to give them more comfort. Now with the Motocross of Nations taking place at Teutschenthal, the GP was assigned the Lausitzring whom are now taking full advantage of the infrastructure at the Eurospeedway. The motocross track is created in the infield, so the main grandstand and the bleachers G and H (at the edge of the first banked curve of the speedway) can be used for motocross fans.

The atmosphere should be something like the supercross races at Daytona. In Daytona the track isn't layed over the tarmac, wher at the Lausitzring the preliminary design puts the track will be closer to the grandstands and will be laid over the tarmac and the banked curve
